Top 10 Most Embarrassing Albums You've Ever Bought

This should be a fun one. There is probably a slew of different reasons for why some of these embarass me. You'll know it is time to turn the page when you hear R2-D2 beep...like this. [ sound fx ] Let's begin now.

10. Chris Cornell - Euphoria Morning
I have a rule...I need to hear at least two songs from an album before I buy it, UNLESS I am confident in the artists (ie, someone that I've listened to for years). Somehow I let Cornell's years with Soundgarden count, and I bought a true piece of crap. What were you thinking, Chris??

9. Vanessa Carlton - Be Not Nobody
I haven't actually bought this, but I've had the urge to a few times. The girl has got talent, but I just can't bring myself to be seen buying it. The fact that she worked with the Counting Crows recently helps, but not quite enough.

8. Warrant - All of 'em
Over the last 10 years or so, I've had to be a closet Warrant fan. If you asked me, I'd probably deny it or point in the other direction and run away (a trick I learned from Brad). There are others out there like me...I know there are. Sure, you move on to new music...but you don't spend years liking a band and then suddenly throw them aside because they've become "uncool." There are a few pieces of serious cheese in that collection, but there are some real gems.

7. Poison - All of 'em
Unlike Warrant, I can't defend this band. Their songs were cheesy and Brett Michaels really can't sing very well. But you know...at the time it was fun stuff.

6. Rick Astley - Whenever You Need Somebody
Yeah, I know. I have no excuses here. It was like...9th or 10th grade? All the girls wanted to go see him in concert, so we did...he did an impressive job live, so I was suckered into buying the album.

5. Ass Ponys - Some Stupid with a Flare Gun
Let me first say that this is one of my favorite albums of all time. That being said, asking for this album in a store full of people that don't know who the Ass Ponys are, and the having the clerks shout the words "ass ponys" back and forth across the store a few times is a bit unsettling.

4. Lionel Richie - Can't Slow Down
Ok...there was a time before I discoved rock that I was a musically zero. I thought this was a great record.

3. Barry Gordy's The Last Dragon Soundtrack
Who's the master?? Sing it with me! "You are the last dragon...you possess the power...of the glow..."

2. Roxette - Look Sharp
Damn you, you catchy pop duo. Don't know why I enjoyed that album.

1. Barbara Streisand - Various
My dad likes Barbara Streisand, and my mom just doesn't. So being the good son that I am, I try and buy some for him every now and then. The only problem is that you become instantly uncool when you step up to the checkout counter. You feel the need to 1) explain yourself and 2) buy a few other hip things to prove you're not lying.
