Top 10 "Must Haves" - possessions you can't (or wouldn't want to) live without
Ah...this is an interesting one. The use of the term "possessions" helps eliminate the important things in life, like family, friends, etc, and makes this a very "material" list. I'm not really sure where I'm going with this...so hang in there. I had a long discussion with Jeremy on how to interpret this topic. He compared it an eastern belief that someone can reduce his/her worries down to 12 things. It's an interesting concept that I want explore, but I don't think that's what I'm going for this week.

10. My CD Collection
I love music. I can't get enough of it, which is obvious based on the number of CDs I have in my house. I tried thinning out the collection once, and I think I removed ten or so. |

9. My Star Wars Collection
Yes. I'm a geek. If you haven't figured that out by now, you haven't been paying attention. I've got shelves of stuff. A whole room, in fact. I'm thinking of sacrificing much of it to the great Ebay...but we'll see. |

8. My Comic Books
I love comics. Not the cheesy super-hero stuff that people think of when you say "comic books." There is some quality stuff out there if you'd give it half a chance. If you're interested in trying something new, email me and I'll suggest something! |

7. The T.V. (w/ cable)
I'm a tv whore. I'll admit it. I've scaled back quite a bit, but there are some shows I just can't miss. Cable is a neccessity, since the networks seems to suck more every year. |

6. My Car MP3/CD Player
For the most part, radio today blows. That's why a CD player is a must. However, I have a short attention span and need to change CD's quite a bit. That's why I LOVE my MP3 player. It's like having a muli-disc changer on one disc. Plus, I can write and record my own songs and listen to them in the car to work through ideas. (The link shows the newer version of the one I have...it's also a hundred bucks cheaper. So goes life.) |

5. My Pickup Truck
Not to sound hick, but I love my pickup. My new truck has a full size back seat, which means I can finally take the whole family along! |

4. My Own URL/Email
Having your own domain is fairly cheap, and when you weigh it against the pain and agony of having to change email addresses when you change ISPs (or depending on a crappy free mail service), I think it's a no-brainer. These days, you can register a domain for nine bucks a year, host it for eight bucks a month and be a happy camper all year long. |

3. My Studio Setup
This really ties into #'s 1 and 2 as you'll see, but I felt it deserved it's own entry. I've put together a great little studio setup...now I just need the time to record something! My Digi 001, 8 channel mixer, Marshall recording pre-amp and other gadgets should provide hours of fun. Someday. |

2. My Mac
While I'd obviously like some software and such to along with it, my Mac is high on my list of material possessions. Not only is it just plain cool, but it helps me make money. And what's more material than that? |

1. An Acoustic Guitar
While I may not be all that good with the guitar, I love to strum away. If I can ever produce the music that's in my head, just watch out world. |
